The Chiefs Gallery
The RMAF Colonel-in-Chief is presently the Sultan of Pahang. It is an honorary appointment and conferred at the pleasure of the Yang Dipertuan Agong, who is the Supreme Commander of the Malaysian Armed Forces.
For about 10 years since 1958, the RMAF was headed by RAF-seconded officers. But in 1967, the first Malaysian Chief took over the reins of responsibility of running the Air Force. This exhibition room is dedicated to them.
