Bell 47G-5

The Bell 47G was the RMAF's trainer helicopter in the 70's before a trainee pilot graduate to the Alouette or Nuri as co-pilot. It gave invaluable service well into the 80's when the venerable Alouette took over its training duties. It was then relegated to Staff Continuation Training and finally phased out in the mid 90's. Two of the aircraft have been given to the MEAA to be kept in flying condition to support the Rakan Muda scheme.
